MacGregor, part of Cargotec, signed a five-year service contract with Color Line. This agreement is an extension of previous contracts between MacGregor and Color Line and now includes all ships in their fleet as well as their Norwegian and Danish terminals.

The order was counted in orders received by Cargotec in the second quarter of 2022. The contract is in force until 2027.

As part of the supply, there are two annual inspections (the pre-dock and the “pre-season”) of RoRo equipment and steering gear on seven vessels and five routes for a period of five years. In addition, maintenance activities are specified for each ship.

Thanks to these annual inspections, Color Line will have a perfect knowledge of the technical state as well as the cost of maintenance of the equipment on board of the whole fleet and the routes.

“We have always had a very good relationship and collaboration with MacGregor. This new service agreement between Color Line and MacGregor will give us the security we need and the ability to plan detailed maintenance over the next five years,” said Andre Thoresen, Director of Marine Operations, Color Line.

“We are proud of the high level of collaboration we have had with Color Line for many years. This third consecutive service agreement between Color Line and MacGregor proves that our relationship is close and strong,” said John Carnall, senior vice president, Global Services Solutions, MacGregor.

“Color Line places great importance on critical equipment and together with MacGregor they are now able to continue to ensure the availability of their fleet and routes,” he added.
