Sarajevo Law Faculty students achieve historic success in European competition – Sarajevo Times

On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, December 10, 2021, students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo have achieved historic success in the most prestigious international human rights competitions. ‘man.

The 8th Trans-European Moot Court Competition has been organized by the non-governmental organization Civil Rights Defenders for eight years. The competition brings together the winners of two regional competitions: the Scandinavian competition and the Western Balkans competition.

In this year’s competition, Sarajevo Law School and Copenhagen Law School met.

The competition was held in English, in the courtroom of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. The Judicial Council was composed of: Arnfinn Bardsen, judge on behalf of the Kingdom of Norway, Tim Eicke, judge on behalf of the United Kingdom and Faris Vehabović, judge on behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After playing two matches, the winner was the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo.

This is one of the biggest successes that Sarajevo Law School (and any other law school in Bosnia and Herzegovina) has achieved in an international competition.
The team of the Faculty of Law consisted of students: Emina Kukuljac, Delila Islamović, Lamija Dedagić and Anesa Karaman, and they were prepared for the competition by the assistants Harun Išerić and Anesa Šećerkadić.

The success achieved attests to the excellence and prestige of the Sarajevo Law Faculty in the training of future lawyers.
