Duncan Tatton-Brown named non-executive chairman

Oxford Nanopore Technologies plc, the company behind a new generation of nanopore-based molecular sensing technology, is pleased to announce that Duncan Tatton-Brown will join the group as non-executive chairman effective August 1. 2022. Duncan will succeed Peter Allen, who will leave the Board on July 31, 2022.

Duncan brings a wealth of relevant experience as an executive and non-executive director of FTSE companies, founder-led and growing technology companies, and, in particular, where UK-born companies have grown to have a strong international commercial presence. He has had a distinguished career in a wide range of innovative companies in the technology, retail and media sectors, including as Chief Financial Officer of Ocado Group plc from 2012 to 2020, a period during which the business grew from a pure online game grocer to a leading UK technology company serving customers around the world, with 3.5x revenue growth and a 10x technology headcount. remains a senior advisor to Ocado and also currently sits on the boards of Cazoo and Trainline.

Duncan holds a Masters in Engineering from King’s College Cambridge.
